Researchers are looking for residents of Paulsboro, both adults and children, to join a study on the health effects of chemicals thatcontaminated the Gloucester County town’s water supply for years.

The chemicals, known as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) are also known as “forever” chemicals because they stay in our bodies for years and have been linked to potentially serious health outcomes, according to Dr. Robert Laumbach, the Rutgers professor and researcher leadingthe study.
